2007 Hummer H3X

Based on Hummer's H3 Street concept that debuted at November's Specialty Equipment Market Association show, the 2007 H3X adds a few modifications to Hummer's midsize H3 sport utility vehicle. Available only in the United States and Canada, the H3X lends some urban flair to the H3 with its chrome trim and new wheels. It hits dealerships in September 2006.

Exterior
The 2007 H3X closely models SEMA's H3 Street concept, though the Street was not that different from the regular H3. The H3X gets chrome door handles, side mirrors and tube steps — available as accessories on the H3 — and adds a chrome grille guard and unique 18-inch seven-spoke wheels.

Free of excessive underbody cladding, the H3X retains the H3's offroad prowess. Four-wheel drive is standard.

Interior
The H3's Luxury Package is standard on the H3X. It includes power front seats, a six-CD changer and a leather interior. The H3X adds embroidered head restraints, and buyers can choose from three interior colors.

Under the Hood
The H3X's 3.5-liter V-6 makes 220 horsepower and 225 pounds-feet of torque and drives either a five-speed-manual or four-speed-automatic transmission.

Safety
All-disc antilock brakes are standard. An electronic stability system is optional on automatic-transmission H3Xs and side curtain-type airbags are optional across all models.
