Honda Civic Si

Honda is redesigning the Civic compact car and is showing off its design direction with a concept of the nameplate's longtime performance variant. The Civic Si concept is equipped with a 200-horsepower, dual-overhead-cam four-cylinder engine and a six-speed-manual transmission. That's 40 horses and one gear more than is available in the current Civic Si.Honda has removed the rear hatch in favor of a conventional trunk. The concept car has a much more aerodynamic profile than the current Si, with dramatic slopes in the rear and front and a curved roof, much like the profile of the Scion tC.On the Si, however, the line is broken by a prominent rear spoiler. The concept car had 18-inch wheels, although concepts regularly have larger wheels than their production counterparts.Honda is releasing few other details about the Si or other versions of the redesigned Civic.
