Alfa Romeo 8C Cometizione
Up until the final days prior to the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show, it was doubtful whether Alfa's design center in Turin, Italy, would have the 8C Competizione ready, but the two-seater prototype was there with its paint barely dry.The rear-wheel-drive classic shape is currently under consideration for production. The power comes from a 400-horsepower, supercharged 4.2-liter V-8 engine, which accelerates the car from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. If approved, there are even bigger power plans in store for the Italian sports car.
